The Ouachita Parish Public Library hosts a dozen book clubs for all to enjoy. For a list of all programs, visit our Events Calendar.

Online Book Club
The Online Book Club is for busy readers. Join the Facebook Group to discuss each quarter's book selection. You may check out the e-book or e-audiobook via the free Hoopla Digital app, or the print book or book-on-CD at your local branch.

Mocha Monday Book Club
The Mocha Monday Book Club meets every first Monday of the month at 5:30 p.m. at the Main Branch Library. This book club discusses works from African-American authors and authors of color.

The next Mocha Monday Book Club meets at 5:30 p.m. January 6 at the Main Branch Library. This month's title is How It Went Down by Kekla Magoon. Place it on hold here.

The Night People Book Club
This book club is for fans of horror, dark fantasy and dark sci-fi. They meet the first Tuesday of every month at 5:30 p.m. at the Main Branch Library.

The next Night People Book Club meets at 5:30 p.m. January 7 at the Main Branch Library. This month's title is We Have Always Lived in the Castle by Shirley Jackson. Call 318.327.1490 to place it on hold (mention you are calling for The Night People Book Club).

Comic Book Club
The Comic Book Club is for fans of comics and graphic novels. They meet the first Wednesday of every month at 5:30 p.m. at the Main Branch Library.

The next Comic Book Club meets at 5:30 p.m. January 8 at the Main Branch Library. This month, we will discuss sidekicks.

Sci-Fi/Fantasy Book Club
This book club is for fans of science fiction and fantasy. They meet the first Wednesday of every month at 6:30 p.m. at the Sterlington Memorial Branch Library.

The next Sci-Fi/Fantasy Book Club meets at 6:30 p.m. January 7 at the Sterlington Memorial Branch Library. This month's title is Black Leopard, Red Wolf by Marlon James. Place it on hold here.

Lost in the Stacks Book Club
The Lost in the Stacks Book Club (LITS) is for readers of literary books. LITS meets the second Tuesday of every month at 6 p.m. at the Main Branch Library.

Who's Who Book Club
The Who's Who Book Club discusses biographies and memoirs. They meet at the Ollie Burns Memorial Branch Library.

The next Who's Who Book Club meets at 4 p.m. January 28 at the Ollie Burns Memorial Branch Library. This month's title is Love Warrior by Glennon Doyle Melton. Place it on hold here.

Just Read Book Club
This book club is for those who like to discover new books in a relaxed setting. The Just Read Book Club meets at the Cpl. J.R. Searcy Memorial Branch Library

The next Just Read Book Club meets at 1:30 p.m. January 30 at the Searcy Memorial Branch Library. This month, they will discuss favorite holiday books.

Bring Your Own Book Club
The Bring Your Own Book Club (BYOB) discusses shareable interests for new adults. BYOB members are encouraged to bring their own (non-alcoholic) beverages to book club. They meet every third Monday of the month at the Ouachita Valley Branch Library.

The next BYOB Club meets at 5:30 p.m. January 27 at the Ouachita Valley Branch. This month's title is How to Not Die Alone by Richard Roper. Place it on hold here.

Beyond the Pages Book Club
At the Beyond the Pages Book Club, discuss your favorite books over coffee. This book club meets the fourth Wednesday of the month at 2 p.m. at the West Monroe Branch Library.

Rainbow Reads Book Club
The Rainbow Reads Book Club is for LGBT folks and their allies. They meet the last Monday of the month at 5:30 p.m. at the Main Branch Library.

Young at Heart Book Club
The Young at Heart Book Club is for seniors and those who are young at heart. They meet the last Tuesday of the month at 5:30 p.m. at the Ouachita Valley Branch Library.

The next Millennial Book Club meets at 5:30 p.m. January 28 at the Ouachita Valley Branch Library. This month's title is TThe Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides. Place it on hold here.
