The Ouachita Parish Public Library hosts a dozen book clubs for all to enjoy. For a list of all programs, visit our Events Calendar.

Online Book Club
The Online Book Club is for busy readers. Join the Facebook Group to discuss each quarter's book selection. You may check out the e-book or e-audiobook via the free Hoopla Digital app, or the print book or book-on-CD at your local branch.

Mocha Monday Book Club
The Mocha Monday Book Club meets every first Monday of the month at 5:30 p.m. at the Main Branch Library. This book club discusses works from African-American authors and authors of color.

The next Mocha Monday Book Club meets at 5:30 p.m. February 3 at the Main Branch Library. This month's title is Pride by Ibi Zoboi. Place it on hold here.

The Night People Book Club
This book club is for fans of horror, dark fantasy and dark sci-fi. They meet the first Tuesday of every month at 5:30 p.m. at the Main Branch Library.

The next Night People Book Club meets at 5:30 p.m. February 4 at the Main Branch Library. This month's title is The Ballad of Black Tom by Victor LaValle. Place it on hold here.

Comic Book Club
The Comic Book Club is for fans of comics and graphic novels. They meet the first Wednesday of every month at 5:30 p.m. at the Ollie Burns Branch Library.

The next Comic Book Club meets at 5:30 p.m. February 5 at the Ollie Burns Branch Library. This month, we will discuss Birds of Prey.

Sci-Fi/Fantasy Book Club
This book club is for fans of science fiction and fantasy. They meet the first Tuesday of every month at 6:30 p.m. at the Sterlington Memorial Branch Library.

The next Sci-Fi/Fantasy Book Club meets at 6:30 p.m. February 4at the Sterlington Memorial Branch Library. This month's title is The Golden Compass by Philip Pullman. Place it on hold here.

Lost in the Stacks Book Club
The Lost in the Stacks Book Club (LITS) is for readers of literary books. LITS meets the second Tuesday of every month at 6 p.m. at the Main Branch Library.

Mystery & Suspense Book Club
This book club is for fans of mystery and suspense. They meet the first Wednesday of every month at 5:30 p.m. at the Sterlington Memorial Branch Library.

The Book Was Better Book Club
Discuss books that have been turned into movies or TV shows. The Book Was Better Book Club meets at the Ollie Burns Branch Library.

Just Read Book Club
This book club is for those who like to discover new books in a relaxed setting. The Just Read Book Club meets at the Cpl. J.R. Searcy Memorial Branch Library

The next Just Read Book Club meets at 1:30 p.m. February 27 at the Searcy Memorial Branch Library. This month, they will discuss favorite holiday books.

Bring Your Own Book Club
The Bring Your Own Book Club (BYOB) discusses shareable interests for new adults. BYOB members are encouraged to bring their own (non-alcoholic) beverages to book club. They meet every third Monday of the month at the Ouachita Valley Branch Library.

The next BYOB Club meets at 5:30 p.m. February 17 at the Ouachita Valley Branch. This month's title is Heartless by Marissa Meyer. Place it on hold here.

Beyond the Pages Book Club
At the Beyond the Pages Book Club, discuss your favorite books over coffee. This book club meets the fourth Wednesday of the month at 2 p.m. at the West Monroe Branch Library.

The next Beyond the Pages Book Club meets at 2 p.m. February 26 at the West Monroe Branch Library. 

Rainbow Reads Book Club
The Rainbow Reads Book Club is for LGBT folks and their allies. They meet the last Monday of the month at 5:30 p.m. at the Main Branch Library.

The next Rainbow Reads Book Club will meet at 5:30 p.m. February 24 at the Main Branch Library. This month's title is Pride: The Unlikely Story of the True Heroes of the Miners' Strike by Tim Tate. 

Young at Heart Book Club
The Young at Heart Book Club is for seniors and those who are young at heart. They meet the last Tuesday of the month at 5:30 p.m. at the Ouachita Valley Branch Library.

The next Millennial Book Club meets at 5:30 p.m. February 25 at the Ouachita Valley Branch Library. This month's title is What Alice Forgot by Liane Moriarty. Place it on hold here.
