National Poetry Month 30 in 30
April is National Poetry Month. Here at the library, we encourage our patrons to participate by writing a poem every day, for which we give a prompt.  Once you write your poem we ask you to add it to our Facebook page in the comments section.

The prompts are fun, serious, whimsical, and many times challenging. There is no requirement to write all thirty poems, so feel free to participate at your level of comfort. At the end of the month, a winner will be randomly chosen from the participants to receive a small token of appreciation. To get the prompts, click here.

You can read about more ways to celebrate National Poetry Month at Poets.org. Tap the inner poet in you and participate, or just read and enjoy poetry.
