Governor’s Office of Elderly Affairs
The Governor’s Office of Elderly Affairs (GOEA) is the administrator of the Older Americans Act program services such as congregate and home delivered meals, assisted and medical transportation, adult day healthcare, caregiver sitter service, counseling, legal assistance, medication management, and utility assistance.
Louisiana Department of Health, Aging and Adult Services
The Office of Aging and Adult Services (OAAS) is a healthcare reform initiative, bringing together all of the long-term care programs that serve senior citizens and people with adult-onset disabilities.

The official site of Medicare allows users to sign up, customize their plans, and get information on supplemental insurance.
OMCAP
Ouachita Parish Multi-Purpose Community Action Program (OMCAP) serves as an anti-poverty agency in conjunction with government and community organizations. OMCAP provides assistance with food, finances, housing, utilities, and prescription payments. OMCAP also provides resources for community health, such as screenings, self-defense lessons, exercise classes and senior activities. OMCAP can provide help with Medicaid and government program enrollment.
